Community-Based Services

Ranging from office-based counseling to intensive, home-based therapy, our community-based services are aimed at keeping youth and their families together. Acknowledging that families are the single most powerful influence on a child's development, the Ranch has shifted emphasis from out-of-home care to working with children in the context of their families.

Additionally, we believe that to adequately address the needs of children, we must also address family needs. Experts work with children ages 6-18 who exhibit significant emotional, behavioral, and mental problems, but who can be served in a less-restrictive environment.

If The Buckeye Ranch reaches its fundraising goals by 2011 most of our community-based services will be housed in the new Buckeye Ranch Family Center on the west side of Columbus.
